We accept payment by credit card, paypal or money order/bank draft. See details below. If you cannot make payment by any of these methods, please call us at (604) 677-3279 or 1-866-309-6716 (USA & Canada only) and we will be happy to assist you.
Credit Cards: We accept Visa and MasterCard. Our online real time credit card processors use industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption to prevent your credit card data from being intercepted. AVS (Address Verification System) feature verifies your billing address to prevent unauthorized credit card usage in our store. The charge on your credit card statement will show "Optima Ventures".
PayPal: Paypal, a secure and independent party, gives you the flexibility to pay us by charging your credit card (all major credit cards) or checking account without entering your credit card information. Our PayPal account status is "verified". The charge on your statement will show "Paypal Optima".
Money Order/Bank Draft: Money Orders or Bank Drafts should be made payable to “Optima Ventures” in US funds. Print your order confirmation page and mail it with your money order or bank draft to:

Please write your Order Number on your money order/bank draft. If you are unable to print your receipt, please include a note with your check clearly stating your Order Number. We will wait for your money order/bank draft to clear before shipping your order.

Please note that in some few occasions, the availability as stated for each product may not apply for multiple quantities of an item. Sudden demand for an item may also affect its availability. If any item in your order is unavailable, we will inform you by phone or e-mail.
Sales Taxes and Duties Back to Top
USA Shipping Address: We do not charge any sales tax or duty for shipments to anywhere in the United States.
Canada Shipping Address: Orders shipped to Canada are subject to 7% GST. Shipments to British Columbia will be charged an additional 7.5% PST. If an item in your order is not available in our Canadian warehouse, it will be shipped from a U.S. warehouse. Such shipments from the U.S. may be subject to customs duties. Duties (if applicable) will be determined by Canada Customs at the port of entry. The customer is responsible to pay any such duties.
International Shipping Address: We do not charge sales tax for international orders (which we process on case-by-case basis). Any local taxes or customs duties (if applicable in your country) are the customer's responsibility.

Knowing that you want quick delivery at the lowest possible cost, we have designed an efficient order processing and shipping systemthat helps us to have your package placed on a shipping truck within 3 business days. Please note that there may be some delay on orders placed during very high demand periods, as well as those that need proper verification.
Pre Orders and Backordered Merchandise
If we cannot ship your order within the expected time, we will notify you of the delay and provide a revised shipment date. Our fulfillment obligations begin when we receive a "properly completed" order. An order is properly completed when we receive the correct full payment, accompanied by all the information we need to fill the order.
Shipping times are calculated from the time your package leaves our warehouse. Packages are usually shipped from the warehouse within 3 business days of your order. Please plan accordingly.

- Any order placed after 2pm Eastern time will be processed on the next business day.

- Estimated Total Delivery Time applies only to products in-stock (not pre-orders or backorders).
- If we have to review or check an order for security reasons, the Estimated Processing time may be longer.
- We can not guarantee Estimated Shipping Times. It depends on the specific carrier.

Our shipping charges start from $3.99. It will be calculated based on your total order weight, selected shipping method, and shipping address. The table below gives a rough estimate of your shipping cost (shipping address not factored in).

Where We Ship
We currently ship to verified addresses within the United States and Canada. Shipments to Hawaii and Alaska will be shipped via 2-day air and so additional costs will apply if your chosen shipping method does not meet or exceed this standard.
Shipments to United States APO & FPO Military bases will be determined on a case-by-case basis due to inconsistencies with USPS. We will notify you if we CANNOT ship your order to your military base.
Generally, we offer limited International shipping to Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and everywhere else outside North America on a case-by-case basis for security reasons. Please contact us for details.
We only ship with couriers like UPS, FedEx and USPS Express Mail Service that have a tracking system so that you can monitor your package in transit. We reserve the right to choose the most effective form of shipping for your package. If you have an existing account with any of our approved shippers and you prefer to use this account, contact us with your account number. You may also enter it in the "comments" field in the order page. Please note that orders containing nitro products are sent by ground shipping only because of the flammable nature.
International Orders Back to Top
Due to cases of fraud, our order processing procedure for international orders is different. We handle international orders on a case-by-case basis. Only orders that we determine to be non-fraudulent will be approved. This may cause a very slight delay but it is meant to protect you. If you wish to place an order, please contact us for details. It is your responsibility to pay any applicable taxes and/or duties to your local authorities. We suggest that you check your country's customs regulations to be sure that the items you are ordering are allowable imports into your country. We will not be responsible for any items seized by customs and will not issue a refund.

To keep you well informed, we will send you emails about the status of your order. First, you will receive an order confirmation email shortly after you submit your order. After we reconfirm availability of all products in your order, we will notify you as to when your order is scheduled for shipment.
If any item(s) in your order is(are) out of stock and/or discontinued by the manufacturer we will inform you by email about the items available for immediate shipping. You will then have the choice to either proceed as is, replace the out-of-stock item(s) with other in-stock item(s), or cancel the order.
We will email you your shipment tracking number immediately after it ships. You can then track your package (at UPS, Fedex, or USPS).
Return Policy Back to Top
We will strive to make sure a perfect item is shipped to you. If you do not like your purchase, you can return it within 30 days of purchase only if it has not been used, altered or painted and is still in its original packaging. Few products may require a 15% restocking fee. Non-defective items that have been taken apart, painted or altered in any way from their original condition cannot be returned. Additionally, if the product box has been damaged, taped or altered in any manner, it is not valid for return.
If any item is defective, you must send it to the manufacturer for replacement or repair. Contact us and we will direct you on how send it to the manufacturer. Sending a defective product to us instead of the manufacturer will void the warranty. At no time, will Optima Hobbys be responsible for any defective items.
To initiate a valid return you must send an email to returns@optimahobbys.com explaining why you want to return the product and verifying that the product will be returned in the conditions stated above. We will email you an RMA number (Return Merchandise Authorization). Please include this RMA number with your return. OptimaHobbys.com will NOT accept any returns without an RMA number. You will be responsible for return shipping costs and the risks of any damage or loss in transit. We therefore suggest that you use a shipper such as UPS or FedEx which allows you to track your package.
Restricted Materials Back to Top
Some items on our site (such as nitro fuel) are regulated by the Department of Transportation because they may be hazardous and/or flammable. By law, such items are required to be shipped under certain restrictions. All orders containing flammable items may only be shipped within the United States by Ground Shipment. These materials may not be shipped to Hawaii. There is no extra fee for shipping these items.
Possible Errors Back to Top
We are working very hard to ensure that the information on our website is accurate. However, human errors are sometimes inevitable. If the listed price or description of any product on our site is incorrect due to typographical errors, pricing errors, coupon or gift certificate errors, incorrect product information received from our suppliers, or any other cause, we shall have the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for such a product and correct any disparities whether or not the order was confirmed and your credit card has been charged. If your credit card has already been charged for the purchase and your order is canceled, you may pay the difference if the correct price is higher (we will refund the difference if the correct price is lower) or reorder another product with the same or less price than the amount you paid. Otherwise we shall issue a refund of the amount paid to your credit card. We reserve the right to refuse any order. Prices and policies are subject to change without prior notice.
